Manifeest der Geluksmomentjes (Manifesto of happiness)

Many manifestos about happiness are written by and for adult people.
This manifesto was created by “little” people , because they laugh more often and are so able to enjoy the little everyday things of life. This manifesto wants people to experience happiness and share it.

In March and April 2011 children of primary school “De Botteloef” (Amsterdam-North) cooperated in the project “Manifeest der Geluksmomentjes”. The children experienced how to be happy and make others happy by filling boxes with their own happiness and exchanging the boxes with ones children filled in Indonesia. They also decorated envelopes, which were sent to people they feel gratitude for. The content of the envelop is a voice-message which can be heard on this website!

Finally the children did research in little groups how to be happy and ways to make others happy. Find out how to surprise someone by using sounds at “operatie grappenmaken”, how to enjoy making music with kitchenstuff together at “ritme met keukenspullen”, how to make a large wall poster of A4paper at “the special schilderij”, how to create something by heart at “uit je hart “, how to organize an outdoor cinema for the whole neighborhood at “aller mensen buiten bioscoop”, how to make a statue for someone at “standbeeld voor iemand“, how to help people remember “mensen kunt helpen herinneren” and how to organize a party for someone who never smiles “feest voor iemand die nooit lacht “!
